Exploring Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is sometimes referred to as "sleep yoga". However, the practice has much deeper layers that include the discovery of our heartfelt mission or desire, how we can build intention to achieve our goals, and maintaining our safe container through resources that assist us in staying present during difficult times. In this 4 week course, you will transition from short, gentle flow movement sequences into guided imagery and sensation menus that will awaken your inner intentions and expand your experiences of wakeful rest and deep relaxation. Yoga Nidra is a dualistic and holistic practice that works from a place of opposites to assist you in finding your truth, live your integrity, and restore yourself from within. Kirsten will use techniques from both traditional methodologies created by Swami Satyananda Saraswati, and more modern, trauma informed methods from Dr. Richard Miller's iRest approach.
